Community Nurses
The district nurses provide specialist nursing care to patients who are confined to home. Arrangements for this care are made by the doctor, hospital, or by self-referral. The district nurses can be contacted directly by telephoning 01382 740190.
Health Visitors
The health visitors are registered nurses with extra training in public and family health, with a particular emphasis on child development. They see all new babies at home once discharged from the midwife and then maintain contact with the family as required. The health visitor can be contacted directly by telephoning 01382 496761.
