Practice Manager

The Practice Manager manages all of the business aspects of the Practice such as making sure that the right systems and the right people are in place, at the right time, in order to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises, equipment and IT (information technology). The Practice Manager supports the Admin Team, GPs and other medical professionals to deliver patient services and also helps to develop extended services, enhancing patient experience and care.

Administration

Patient Advisers provide an important link for patients and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide information on services and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They will ask you for an idea of the problem when you call as they are trained to direct you to the best service for you.  They make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as dealing with prescription enquiries, medical report queries, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.  Staff are trained in the administration of repeat prescriptions, which helps free up the doctors time to see patients.

Team Leaders provide a line management link for the patient advisers. They often work alongside the team on reception.
